Solicitor still not sent paperwork after completion

I was wondering whether anyone has advice on what to do.

I completed on a shared ownership house on 8th December. The transfer document (which has signatures and legally passes over the house from the previous owner to me) should have been sent to the housing association on the day of completion along with everything else.

I need to get the boiler replaced fairly urgently as it's not working properly, and I need the housing association's permission to do this. I contacted them on 13th December and they advised they could not discuss the house with me as my solicitor still hadn't sent the document over. I contacted my solicitor who said they had a back log but will send it ASAP.

I contacted the housing association at the beginning of this week who advised my solicitor still hadn't sent it over so they still couldn't discuss the house.

This week I have sent numerous emails and made phone calls to my solicitor asking why the hell they still haven't sent this over nearly a month after completion and explained that I can't do anything with the house until they have. I've not had a single response all week.

Sorry this was so long but does anyone have any advice on what to do? The solicitors aren't local unfortunately.

Ask them for details of their complaints procedure. You will have already had a letter of engagement telling you who your contact for this is.

It is highly likely that the office was shut between Christmas and New Year and that they have just gone back this week. Instead of going in all guns blazing explain what the issue is and ask whether it could be dealt with today as a matter of urgency.
