Leaky porch -- how to replace

Hello! We recently bought our first house and (thanks to the rain) discovered we have a leaky UPVC porch extension.

The extension is at least 15 years old. I want to replace it with something that won't leak, and will look like it's part of our house -- not an afterthought.

So is this the right process? Find a builder who can tear down the existing porch then replace it with a proper structure. Our house is block so I think we'd want that? So it would all work as one, and not be held together by silicone.

I apologise -- I'm new to all this so I'm not 100% sure where to start.

Just to add, it's very small so it wouldn't need planning permission as far as I can tell.

I had a leaky porch, is it the type with a felt roof? you can buy paint seal stuff .. give it a good coat, thats what done the trick on mine!
