We have started building an alcove unit on right side there is no wall on other side for unit to attach to because it's open plan downstairs on the left it leads to another room where there is a big sideboard unit so my other half said having another alcove unit on left will be overkill with two units on same wall fairly close together, he said it will be in block off some of the space leading to living room making room look smaller, my question is I am quite fussy things matching etc if we don't have one on other side, what ideas of things could go there as a decorations thing? The rocking chair will be moved by bay window when Christmas tree goes down
