Electricity meter not showing a reading

It’s a digital one. I’ve pressed all the buttons but the screen is still blank. Am I being stupid or do I need to get in touch with
my supplier?

Get in touch with the supplier. Ours has been like this since April and they still haven't sent someone out to fix it!

My elderly Mum's gas meter has been doing this for months. We have kept reporting it, the Morrisons meter reader said he would to because it wasn't working, SOEnergy have done nothing and have failed even to reply to us. She isn't being billed for gas. We're worried they will estimate a massive bill when they finally fix it, for far more than she has used, as she has been very careful not to use much due to the price rise. If they compare her usage with last year, that will be all wrong, because my father was very ill and needed it far hotter (he passed away this summer). I think it's appalling they would treat a vulnerable 89 year old like that, they haven't even had the common decency to amend the account to her name, despite being told about Dad's death in August. They know she is a vulnerable customer, too.
