How can I fit curtains on this window?

I want to fit floor length curtains that will wrap around the jutting in ledge on the left.

I did look at ceiling mounted bendy rails for bay windows but I don't know how they will wrap around that bit where it needs to fit the wall??

confused

It will look nice with curtains. I think you’ll need to find a good curtain company locally and get a custom option made. Try looking for a supplier that uses Bradley Collection as they can make the custom pole. www.bradleycollection.com

Metal curtain rails/tracks can take a few bends as long as they are not too tight. I would snake it round the return and then a gentle curve around the corner to the main window. I'd just go for a white track to disappear into the ceiling.

Ok I see you only have the pillar on one side , but YKWIM.

IKEA has a track system that you can attach to the ceiling, and it has bends - it’s called Vidga. Dunelm sells a bendable type of track too, I’ve never used it but it looks like it would fit your window nicely.

I have a similar one sided bay window and a local curtain company fitted a track with a bend in it. It's perfect

We have a bay window with swish flexible track & it works really well. They were here when we moved in or I never would have known they existed.

I've got something like this www.dunelm.com/product/mix-and-match-bay-pole-dia-28mm-1000000154 - the curtain rings, do sometimes fall off, and it's a faff to get the curtain round the corner (I don't bother) and I often have to stand on the sofa to sort it out, but I prefer the look to tracks.

Thanks everyone! The main issue is the extra corner on the left where a ceiling mounted rail won't go. Because of the window ledge there would be a gap if the curtain didn't go around again.

I've contacted a company that do Bradley collection thanks for the tip!

Silent Gliss have bendable tracks. Lots of options to choose from.

Babooshka1990 · 20/12/2022 17:12

Can the bendy tracks attach to the wall and ceiling, does anyone know?

Yes, ours is attached to the ceiling.

@VariationsonaTheme as in the same rail can attach to ceiling but at the end to the wall? Thanks!

We have a square bay like yours and blinds. We put a curtain rail across the front and have voile curtains that just frame it, in the summer. I’ve recently bought some thicker curtains with a lining and draw those across in the cold evenings.

I worried it would make the room feel small, but it doesn’t.
