Is this mould?

This is on one of the skirting boards in our bedroom. It’s on a north facing external wall.
We moved in over a month ago & had the place redecorated just before then, so it’s freshly painted.
It’s very faint so I’m not sure it’s that? But we’ve had issues with condensation in the room (new build and trickle vents are stuck).
If it is, can I just wipe it with vinegar & paint over with mould resistant paint? Baby sleeps with us so don’t want to use chemicals if avoidable.

Is this mould?

Whatever it is, you're overreacting. It's barely visible! Just wipe it off with a damp cloth and a bit of kitchen spray. End of.

if you're worried about mould, open the windows a bit more.

Looks like the marks are under the paint, not on top. Could be the old colour coming through, you maybe just need another coat.

Popvan · 17/12/2022 23:48

Freshly painted? What's all that white crud stuck in the groove of the skirting?
The marks look like a scuff, not mould.

If it's like a greenish dust it is mould. What is all that white bobbly stuff?

This is absolutely tiny. You can wipe this off if you think it’s mould.

Fair enough, we’ve just had so many things going wrong since moving in, I probably find faults where there are none! I’ll leave it for now.
@Popvan that’s diatomaceous earth for bugs.. don’t ask 😬

Diatomaceous earth is pretty toxic to breath in
