Heating oil leak in kitchen

Hi everybody. After my (oil) boiler breaking down this week we finally got the engineer out and he replaced a pump and filter… He got the thing going but accidentally leaked some kerosene during the process. The boiler is in the kitchen and it absolutely stinks! I’ve had the windows open all day and it still stinks. I’ve put some bicarb down in front of the boiler and I’ve taken the cover off to see if there are any obvious patches… There aren’t. He did mop it up with a cloth at the time. Obviously I can’t take a boiler apart and clean all of the bits… Will the smell eventually go? Anything to get that to speed up as its very unpleasant and can be smelled throughout the house.

thanks!
