Please help me redesign my lounge/diner!

Hi, I hope some lovely clever people can advise me. As you can see I have a L shaped lounge/diner we used to have our table in the conservatory but we've had it insulated and it's now another lounge in the day time and a bedroom at night. I've never been very keen on looking at my dining table while sat on the sofa so do you think having sliding doors separating the longe area from dining area would work or will it make it feel too small?

Could you put a piece of furniture between the lounge and diner, on the outside wall? Depending on the style of your house, something like this or this or even this - to make it feel like separate spaces, but not divide it too much.

I would just have table at kitchen end, then face sofas towards window rather than table.

Not as high furniture blocking a swill feel small and dark, but a side board behind sofa with plants on could work
