-6 in London and no water from cold water taps

It was -6 in London last night (and this morning) and there is no water coming out of the taps in our bathroom. The hot water tap in the kitchen is fine (but not the cold). Sounds like the pipes have frozen somewhere? Anyone know whether they will just defrost on their own?

They will eventually defrost. However the pipes may have burst due to becoming frozen. In which case you might have a fabulous mess to deal with.
