What do use to clean your oven?

Bit of a silly question but I just wondered what products you buy to clean the outside and inside of your oven? I have a gas oven and I’m always weary of cleaning the inside because I don’t want to drop any cleaning products near where the flame is.

So tell me, what do you use to clean your oven?

Steam it beforehand with some hot water, wipe down with a scrub daddy when cool enough and washing up liquid / salt for the rough bits.

might not work if it’s really dirty though!

Oven magic from poundland.

Thank you both! It’s completely dirty🫣 I’ll try using baking soda to make a paste and see how much that works too:)

Cookerburrah - they are a company who clean my oven using harsh chemicals

Oven Pride. Amazing. Leave over night and it brings the oven and racks up like new!

I did ours the other day with the pink stuff. I'm not sure if you're supposed to but it was really bad and it worked beautifully.

Warm it up a tiny bit then use fairy liquid. Works brilliantly!

Dishwasher tablet dipped in water the rubbed over the top for the inside.

Glass cleaner on the outside.

I get a man in to do it….I love him.

I followed an online thing last time - racks soaked in a sink with washing powder (Ariel in my case) overnight, then a quick scrub the next morning and they came up spotless. For the oven, shove a bowl of boiling water in the oven for a bit, then put a paste of baking soda on the tricky bits and gently scrub. Worked much better than most oven cleaner productsI've tried.

Same! And we use oven liners in between as they are really easy to clean.

Thank you all. Someone quoted me £75 to clean the oven (it’s a double) and then £5 per burner for the hob. I genuinely expected it to be around £50 or something😂

I’m on my way to Poundland now to get baking soda and see what else I can get my hands on. Anyone have any advice regarding cleaning around the flame bit? I’m not trying to blow my flat up!
