What can I store in a bathroom?

There's a big alcove in my spare room ensuite, fits a 2x4 kallax with room at the sides and top to give a bit of scale.

What can I do with it for storage?

Presumably anything fabric (clothes/towels/bedding) is not a good idea because of potential damp. Ditto toilet rolls.

Kids toys are in the main bathroom so they're more accessible. There's a cupboard under the sink in the main bathroom for any extra shampoo/chewing products etc which again is more accessible and convenient there.

Any suggestions? I'd really like to make use of it but not sure how.

Is there not a fan in the room. If so fabric should be fine if you’re rotating them regularly, I’d put towels etc there.

My towels live in a big wicker trunk in the bathroom and are fine. Toilet rolls should be ok too if your air it properly and don’t leave condensation build up after baths / showers. I always have a spare one out on the side and they’re never damp.
could you put doors on it?

I keep towels and toilet roll in the bathroom? Never had any problems

I'd do toilet rolls and towels! If it's a spare room en-suite it'll hardly be under heavy traffic I assume?

In our spare room en-suite I have toilet rolls, spare towels, some fancy bottles of shower and bath products, bath salts, a jar of loofahs (looks cute and they do need replacing often!), storage tubs (inside cotton balls, pads, buds, spare toiletries like makeup remover and moisturiser) and then some decorative bits.

Means our en-suite and main bathroom are fairly minimal and so much easier to clean!
