Are you waiting til the New Year to put your house on the market?

Are you planning to sell your house but holding off til next year? I'm trying to muster a little bit of hope that that's what people are doing. We've been looking for a while, had one purchase fall through but have not viewed a single property since August due to lack of property on the market.
Fill me with hope. Please?!

What difference will new year make?

doodleygirl · 10/12/2022 17:36

Yep, we are planning on Feb

Wondering this too. My mate works at Barclays Canary Wharf and says wait a few months to sell. Interest rates might soften a little bit. December is still tricky because it’s not long since Lizz Truss f**ked the country

Mine has been on the market for about 3 weeks with no viewings so far, there was someone interested but their sale fell through.

My parents are waiting until the new year to list theirs. My aunt (ex estate agent) advised them that’s the best time to get more interest, as generally buyers don’t want to be sitting with the Christmas delays while waiting for the sale to progress.
