Does anyone else think that they might have built the flat/ house around the rock? Is it Aberdeen which is known as the granite city?

AngelicaElizaAndPeggy · 08/12/2022 20:57

Have you ever tried chipping away at granite?! The Victorians probs thought it best to leave sitting dogs lie and just build round the mountain.

That so funny. What a feature!

Also the whole flag is really odd. Some pics show lovely staged rooms, but actually it's really dated.

emmathedilemma · 09/12/2022 08:31

Big oil industry presence in Aberdeen, lots of geologists around, that'll get snapped up!
It looks weirdly like it's been photoshopped in though.

BarbaraofSeville · 09/12/2022 08:49

Agree it looks photoshopped but as I can't see it on the floorplan, I'm guessing if it is real, it's in the store which looks like an add on at the back of the house.

Not sure why the store was built there if it's an add on and the rock was in the way, surely they'd do it off the hallway or kitchen instead?

Lovely flat though, would suit us quite well. Plenty of space and we only need 1/2 bedrooms anyway.

Clymene · 09/12/2022 09:09

I like the hooks above the rock. I'd guess you'd have to clamber up to get things hanging on them

MaggieFS · 09/12/2022 09:14

I agree it looked photoshopped but I think it's because plasterboard has been cut really badly to fit around it. Makes sense that it's real given it is called cliff house and the garden flat obviously goes into the hillside.
