How to select surveyor

I'm buying my first property in UK and looking for a level 3 surveyor. I'm confused on how to finalise a surveyor. I've received quite a few quotes which are similar and scope looks similar too. I'm totally confused

I’d pick one as local as possible. Their valuation should be more accurate. In my area there’s a boundary where the earth changes to chalk. I found it useful to have a surveyor who understood that.

None of the options are very close. In such a scenario how to select one? The sample report of all of them look similar

Then I’d get a different quote from someone who is local.

I chose a firm that specialise in this local area and that were very clear they’d call me to talk through all their findings.
