Affordable housing able to commute to london

Basically I am looking to move back to Hertfordshire, I would like to live somewhere I can afford to buy but also able to commute to London. I only have 10,000 in savings but should be on around 30,000 a year.

Have you looked into Milton Keynes? We're in Wolverton having moved out from West London and think it is great!!

A 4 bed house for £300,000 might not be available in Wolverton? Look at what the op
wants. Newport Pagnell is ok too. The old towns in mk usually are (except Bletchley?) But with the OP’s budget, 3 bed maybe. 4 bed is virtually impossible. Hence Northants.
