From Jilly Cooper novels, I think this is the sort of house Rupert Campbell-Black lived in although I might keep looking as there are no equestrian facilities with this one so maybe not. And it's not as old money as I think his house would be.

So post one of your own - say the book or film and post a link to the house you think suits the characters or the house you imagined from the author's description...

This! And it's only around the corner from me!

Blimey that Leighton one is very opulent and under offer!

What's happening in photo sixteen of that last one?!

Skeldale · 21/11/2022 17:34

Oh that Stroud house is very similar to how I imagined Rupert's house. Maybe it needs more of a sweeping staircase so Helen can carpet it!

IHeartGeneHunt · 21/11/2022 17:38

Leighton buzzard one is more Rannaldini style- I forget what his house is called?

I can imagine Cameron watching RCB's headlights as he 'stormed up the drive'!

The beach house in "Sleeping with the Enemy" was fabulous. Sadly it was just a "mocked up" house made for the movie.
I googled it. It was just a front with supporting beams behind the front facade.

This looks like the house from the film 'Atonement'. It's gorgeous!
