We’ve just moved into a 1930s terraced house. It has what i believe is a standard hallway. We want to put a basic free standing coat/shoe stand against the wall on the same side as the staircase, as wide as possible - how much space is needed between it and the bottom of the staircase please? Can’t find anything online, just fancy storage stuff which we dont’t have budget for. Thanks
