How much compensation - terrible kitchen installation

Hello,

Finally after a year and a half (slightly longer) the kitchen company have finally completed the kitchen!

it’s been an absolute disaster (wrong parts delivered many many times, 50 joiner visits at least ! (Prob a lot more) managers walk out, wrong sized doors, size, shapes delivered, complaints procedures not acknowledged). We’ve had to send 100+ emails, dozens of phone calls, were ignored for long periods. It was only finally sorted when I tracked down the managing director and guessed at his email address and complained directly to him.

Rather not name the company but what do you think I should be asking for in terms of a percentage discount?

Or is there any thing else wise mumsnetters can think of?

Could do a daily mail - but doubtful I’d get any cash out of them.

I really want quite a lot of cash out of them!!!!

Thank you for any suggestions!

Not Wren was it?
DH got £400 out of them for a very delayed and disjointed installation. Kitchen was £7k ish so not super expensive. Design was good but I wouldn't use them again.

No. Handmade wooden kitchen - it was super expensive and such a rubbish installation

wish I’d never of gone with them!

If its sorted now then I can't see you getting a huge amount of compensation to be honest. Maybe a couple of hundred as a good will gesture

Maybe 20%, but they might fight this quite hard. Are you able to demonstrate financial loss as a result of their incompetence, e.g. having to take time off work to sort problems, having to pay more to fitters to come back, etc.?

Are you able to give the initials for the company? I had a bad experience with one and they really didn't budge on compensation.

Good luck!
