We need to carpet stairs and landing and are intending to go with either a slate bluey grey or a dark grey, in a short twist pile, best underlay we can get but not too expensive carpet. I've been to 4 carpet shops today and bar one very expensive wool one that's over budget, every carpet that fit these criteria were the very flecked sort and we just want a plain, solid colour. Has anyone found this holy grail anywhere that sells online, and could you send me a link if so?
