LVT Flooring - how much did you pay?

My renovation budget is running out of control so I have decided that expensive flooring will be restricted to the hall and the rest of downstairs will be LVT.

I have seen one that I like -

www.flooringsupplies.co.uk/product/16320/quickstep_livyn_balance_cottage_oak_natural_vinyl_flooring_balance_click_-_20yrs_warranty

but it seems too cheap!!! I know nothing about LVT - please guide me!!!! Anyone know if this will be reasonable quality for living room, kitchen diner and utility room?

I was on a tight budget for my LVT, but I chickened out of buying the cheapest in the end. I went for the second cheapest of the Karndean ranges, and two years on I'm still really happy with it. I'm not a 'no shoes' household and my patio doors mean I'm in and out of the garden directly on to the flooring. And there's not a mark and not a scratch on it. It still looks lovely.

Sorry I can't report on the range you're looking at (I did look at it too).

I got the Karndean Spanish cherry parquet in my bathrooms, kitchen, hall and cloakroom for £2500. It's so beautiful and really easy to clean :)

We weren't keen on the texture of Karndean but thought Amtico was too expensive so we are looking at Moduleo now.

I had Quickstep as couldn't run to Karmdean or Amtico. Really happy with it. Don't think it was horrendously priced.

It is just so bloody stressful! I have to pick so much - kitchen cabinets, worktops, doors, windows, sofa, tiles appliances, light switches, it goes in and on! And this after picking the architect - deciding what I want the actual house to look like!

I think I have just hit my limit😂.

I want a nice warm oak - not yellow. I think😫

they all look the same on the internet then I go and see them and they still look the same! I have ordered some samples - that might help.

any photos people have would be great

I just took some photos but my phone camera didn't do the colour justice, making it look less warm.

I have the Karndean French oak in their Van Gogh range. Two years ago, for a 19x12 living room and a fairly large hall ( both of which had to first have a plywood base installed, cost included in the total) the invoice was just under £2,000.

...And I totally get the decision making thing. It took me forever to decide on the colour! Fortunately my local independent carpet place (approved Karndean fitters) had some full length strips that I could borrow, which made it a lot easier to picture the full room than the little squares that Karndean sent

That’s a good idea on the planks.

my house is coming down with tile samples! I have done two bathrooms already and that nearly killed me!!

it shouldn’t be this hard!!

Did you go with Moduleo LVT in the end? And if so are you happy with it?

Not yet, still being indecisive and disorganised!

Thanks for replying. Gosh that was a year ago! Still no idea then?

word of warning
I was over budget and looking for cost savings.
I bought this brand in a diff colour way (paler) and I utterly hate it.

i got samples I stress tested it I did all the right things.

when laid it was great for a month. Then the surface started to collect dirt so it started getting dark spots that are incredibly hard to remove. It looks almost like mold bloom.

i WISH I had just used kardean or amtico.
The amtico we used for rest of downstairs I was stressed about at the time as I thought it was bad value / too expensive. It’s amazing and will be in the house prob as long as we are. I would buy it 5 times over.

this crap in our kitchen utility remove am planning to replace when youngest is about 4 if I can last that long.
