We're having a new kitchen - I can't wait our current kitchen is 25+ years old.

I've always had a freestanding cooker but would like fitted eye level oven/s and separate hob.

I'm trying to decide whether I should go for 2 single fitted ovens or one double?

Any advice re features to consider and brands to look at?

Any advice gratefully received.

We had a new kitchen installed last year. We opted for two single ovens stacked in a tall housing. To be honest, we've barely used the second oven, apart from at Christmas. They look nice though! We went for neff ovens, with telescopic rails, rather than hide and slide. They also have the pyrolytic cleaning function which is fab.

Yeah I wondered if I'd just use it at Christmas - love the idea though and as you say - they look great. Will look at the Neff. We saw the hide and slide door and they are a really convenient idea.

Mine isn't working yet: part of a larger refurb and it's been ongoing for months! I had a range before but we've gone for 2 single ovens (not compact) in a short tower with worktop at just below my eye height. I'm loving the look of it and the doors are both at a good height for me. We've gone for Seimens. One is an oven/microwave combination and the other is an oven/steam oven combination. The extractor goes in the weekend and the plinths next week so all being well we can start using them by next weekend. Can't wait !

It's exciting isn't it! So I have heard about steam ovens but don't really know what the benefit is? is the combo oven microwave a full size oven or a normal sized microwave?

We got a Neff hide and slide double oven, a combination single oven beside it and a double warming drawer underneath.

The warming drawer was an extravagance but we use it all the time. The extra oven is dead handy for sunday lunches etc. The microwave isn't very powerful but we've got used to it. I've never used it as a combi oven.

After years of dodgy older ovens - a new oven was just great.

They are both full size single ovens. I have bought all new glass microwave and oven safe dishes as Im not confident that old plastic microwave pots will work well on the metal shelves. It's a whole new way of working for me, but the reviews are excellent so Im looking forward to trying!

Double oven. I quite like having one smaller one because in my mind it is cheaper to run if I am just cooking something small (no idea if this is actually the case!)

I am getting a kitchen fitted soon. I have gone for side by side oven and micro/oven. The combi micro oven thing is smaller so I have also got a warming drawer to make them the same size.

I am short so the double oven stacked doesn’t work for me!
