Rugs for Amtico flooring?

I’m having Amtico LVT flooring laid in my new house soon and am looking at getting a large rug for the living room. I need something that will not move or slide and will be suitable for baby to play on. I’ve been thinking of Ruggable or Totter and Tumble but not sure if either of these will cause discolouration of the Amtico. What rugs do you all have on your LVT flooring?

We have Amtico flooring on the ground floor of our house and any small rugs that I have put down in the past have caused discolouration. I think it depends on the type of Amtico. Ours is a Dusky Walnut plank type and marks if anything is dropped on it. It looks lovely but I don’t think I’d get it again if I move. Upstairs we have Amtico in the bathrooms. They are a tougher tile type and rugs seem fine on those. Hope that helps.

I got a rug made out of carpet and you can get get non slip mats that stick to the rug underneath to stop it slipping that aren’t made of rubber. We have turtle mats for the front and back door that are suitable for the flooring too.

I am looking at flooring now - and was thinking of amtico - this would a like an issue! I might think of something else - I have lots of rugs

I was trying to remember where we got it but I think we maybe actually got it from the flooring shop. You cut it to whatever size and just put it on underside of rug it’s got a sort of tacky coating on both sides.

@aviendha123

Have a look at this LVT supplier website:

Will Amtico stain?
Amtico is resistant to most common stains but there are items which can stain such as lipstick, solvent based liquids and paste floor waxes. Prolonged contact with certain types of rubber or plastic castors, latex rug backing, fresh asphalt, rubber coated cables and rubber matting may leave a mark.

Also I just brought this for my Amtico Floor from Amazon-
