Chertsey High School Information

Hi there, any Mums with kids in Chertsey High school? We are looking to re-locate to nearby Chertsey and been told Chertsey School is good. Difficult to get a sense when there are no offstead reports to go on. I understand the school is new but has a good reputation? Can anyone tell me how strong they are academically, student behaviour? Is you child happy? Also can you advise what are the best areas to live for family of 4 near this school?

I cant comment on the schools, but having lived in (and around) Chertsey, I can answer your question re "the best areas.." Short answer, with Chertsey and surrounding areas, is pay close attention to the flood maps. The Jubilee River can divert water down the Thames towards Chertsey, and The River Bourne has caused flooding. Peoples memories are short. I left Chertsey for this reason as it will only get worse. You also don't want to be in earshot of the M3 or M25.

Other than that it's a fairly average small town.
