Can anyone recommend some instas of people who renovated their 70s/80s house like the one in the picture?

I am buying a great house in the perfect location but I just can’t fall in love with the tiled exterior vibe and it being a terrace. My previous houses were Edwardian and 1930s detached which had natural charm unlike this new pad… It needs a full reno so please hit me with inspiration. Thanks!

Coming back to this to see if you got any refs as I’m considering a similar house!

Our house is mid 1960s so similar.

I follow loads of reno accounts for similar properties, you're welcome to just go through my following list if you like?

My insta is our1960shome_

We plan to replace our tile hangings with render (I wanted wood cladding but DH wasn't as keen)

Isn't the tiled uniformity the actual essence of those sort of 70s terraces? When they were new, and upwardly desirable, they all looked exactly the same, it was beautiful!
Go and find some old episodes of "Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads?" and look at Terry's house. Using your example picture, those houses should probably have full length front windows. The mid 90 upvc replacement windows are wrong and should have 1 top hung whole window opening, a half glazed front door and open plan front lawn....
Maybe put the gas blown air central heating back in?

My experience?... Lived in similar as a child and was my first owned house mid 90s.

The "most individual" thing you can do, is restore it to keep the original period features, everyone just hacks them about to "modernise"... with very variable/questionable results

Sorry,Bob and Thelma's new build house, clearly not Terry's
