Garden office

Hello,

buying a house with an unfinished garden office. I need electrics & wifi cable I believe for plugs & lights.. Anyone done similar for an idea of cost & anything i'm not thinking of.

£760 plus vat.

We had to dig the 75cm deep trench down the garden to the office though as this was far too expensive to get the electrician to do at his daily rate. It took us a day with a mini digger.

Next door did the same. Same price, same electrician.

Probably double the price if they dig the trench.

did you hire the mini digger?

Yes. It was easy to do. We got the smallest one that could manage the task. The bucket was exactly the right size for the trench.

We bought thick plastic and put down to hold the huge volume of soil alongside the trench. Then when the cable was laid we scraped it all back into the hole and re-turfed the long strip.
