Me and my wife are planning on making the move from Kent to Chesterfield in the new year. We’ve chosen this area as she has friends that live there and others within an hours drive.
We're after a more relaxing life. Without the stress of a commute, etc. We can both work from home in our current jobs and I’m hoping to go self employed within the next 24 months. My business is online, and runs from home.
We have a budget of upto £300k for a three bed, we don’t have any kids, but do have lots of pets. So outdoor space is important and if the area is quiet, that would be a bonus. Local dog walking routes would be a huge plus.
Neither of us really knows the area, and her friends know their own places well, but haven’t been much help otherwise 😭
I got here originally from another thread about Chesterfield, but their priorities were very different to mine.
So I was hoping anyone familiar with or living in the area could give me some pointers. I’ve been looking on Rightmove/Zoopla at Chesterfield and surrounding areas. But the number of results is overwhelming.
