Anyone had roof work done with solar panels on roof?

We need a new roof membrane, which means having all roof tiles taken off, new membrane added, new batons attached, then the tiles put back on.

But we have solar panels. This will mean having them removed then reinstalled. Has anyone else had this done while having work done on their roof? How easy or difficult is it?

We had our roof done in the summer and had to have all our panels removed and then refitted. We managed to convince the roofers to do this, however, we had to pay more for this. Once the scaffolding is up you can ask a solar company to remove and refit if the roofers are reluctant.

Thanks. We've had a few quotes for this. Two companies said they could raise the panels up to do the work - ???

The other two said solar panels were a pain and would need a specialist company to remove them.
