House survey

I've had my house survey back. Its come back with the following:

  1. Chimney removed in the kitchen but rest of chimney still intact in the bathroom upstairs. Needs support.
  2. Evidence of movement noted to the front left corner at eaves level. The stonework projects out from the eaves. Surveyor believes it was due to damp penetration caused by poor gutters.
  3. Undulation and movement noted to lintels on first floor - unlikely to be progressive
  4. Cracking and slight movement to the corner at eaves level at side elevation ( same location as point 3)

The movement I am really worried about. Anyone have any advise? Potential cost?
I'm taking a builder there to give a quote but feeling very stressed out.

Re the chimney- we had ours taken out, including the external stack. If we hadn't been allowed to do this it would have been terribly expensive to put in support.
That would defo put me off- soz. X

@gettingolderbutcooler how disruptive was it to get the whole thing taken out and cost? I'm not sure if that would be an option.

You’ll need an RSJ - probably £2k
or so?
