Is my new sink chipped or have they just got paint on it?

Hi, I hope you can help. Am in the middle of getting my kitchen renovated following a leak. Today the fitters have put in the Belfast Sink (from Howdens). I have noticed a mark on the corner and don’t know if it’s a chip, scratch or paint /some other substance has been accidentally splashed on it. It’s only small and I don’t know if I am being fussy. Tried to rub and wipe it off but no joy. It feels a different texture to the rest of the sink.

They have fitted it today (days late) , are meant to be on another job for the rest of the week and the worktop template is meant to be being done next week. Am hoping it might just scrape off but I don’t want to do that/damage it. What would you do? Sorry for asking - it’s my first time getting a kitchen done.Thank you.

It looks slightly raised from the close up picture, is it? If it’s raised then maybe something has been dripped on it. Just ask them tomorrow will it come off. If it is chipped they would presumably need to fit a new one before the work tops so they need to look at it asap.

Thank you. Yes it is raised. I think I will text them a photo early on. I am grateful for your help,

It looks like a splash of plaster?

Definitely looks like paint or more likely plaster dripped on it, rather than a chip.
