Hi all,

I'm looking for experiences of kitchen appliance / boiler cover. I'm in South London, so would love anyone who has a local company they can recommend as well as national ones (I've heard local companies can be better?)

Really hope I get some recommendations!!!

Thanks!

Is it a new boiler? They often come with a warranty.

i had cover by 247 for years. Was awful trying to get the annual service and they couldn’t fix or replace my boiler under my comprehensive range. When I refused to buy a new one from them they cancelled my policy!

We have british gas for boiler.
Suck it up for other appliances.

We had boiler cover but cancelled it, our boiler is only just over a year old anyway and has a 10 year warranty.

For our last service, they sent us someone who lives in London to check it and he was here for 15 minutes. He did a 180 mile round trip for a 15 minute boiler service! We decided it's easier to just pay yearly for the service and leave any faults and repairs to the warranty.

We self-insure for anything like that costs us £70 a year for a service and we put some money into savings so we can pretty much replace anything that breaks - we also have a good local electrical shop that does repairs at low costs.
