How to make 4th bedroom larger - Floorplan attached

If we don’t move we’d like to make bedroom 4 larger. The bathroom next door is very spacious and could be made smaller (we have another bathroom on the second floor). I suggested having bedroom 5 as a bathroom (this is just a spare room and I’m not too worried about losing a bedroom/resale value) and knocking through bedroom 4 and the bathroom completely to make one large bedroom. But DH says we can’t as bedroom 5 side is joined to next door and there’s nowhere for the soil pipe (that room is at the front too). Does anyone have any advice/ideas? Thanks

We looked into something similar and basically the cost of relocating soil pipes etc was very expensive! And not always possible. So I'm with your Dh im afraid

It seems a shame to lose the window from the bathroom. Could you take a chunk out of the bathroom to make a built in cupboard for bedroom 4, and relocate the bathroom door to where the store is? It doesn't make bedroom 4 bigger, but if you don't need so much furniture that might help?

I would do something like this, much cheaper to move a window than move soil pipes and water pipes.

If you have another bedroom if make this one just a shower, toilet and sink if you could. Then make bedroom 4 larger with part of bathroom and hallway.
