How do I stop snails eating all my external silicone sealant from around my window frames?

I wondered what the heck was damaging my silicone sealant because it looks nibbled all over. I went outside in the evening to find out it's snails! They bloody love it. As soon as I renew it they eat it all again. I'm using the correct product for sealing so what can I do?

Trouble is, they can just scoot up the wall an inch and eat the sealant from above. I found this out by putting salt out.

A thin strip of copper all around the window recess.

Just go out every night and squash them until no more come 🐌
