Viessmann Boilers

We are looking at a new boiler, which has moved up the list as our new shower will be run from it and the old one, while good, is reaching the end of its life.
Installer does Worcester combi or Viessmann, and I seem to remember the latter being recommended on here (Advanced Search not throwing up matches).
Anyone got one?

Yes we've had Viessman boiler for 3 years, never had a single problem. Came with 7 year warranty.

Thanks, good to know. Installer mentioned 10 year warranty and they are an approved installer, whatever that means. Current boiler is 21 years old, serviced every year and still going strong, but a new one will be more reliable going forward and more economical.

Which? have lots of reviews of both brands and both are rated "best buys" Worcester Bosh get slightly higher overall ratings , but Viessman are highest for customer satisfaction

We have a Viessman. We absolutely loathe the remote. It's quite complicated but we're a reasonably techy household, no matter what we think we've done it just turns itself on when we think we've set it not to. Boiler itself is fine, we've had it 4 or 5 years, do annual check but no problems.

We had a Viessman boiler fitted eight years ago and so far it has proved to be very reliable. However, it has been serviced every year.
The person that fitted it, recommended it over the Worcester Bosch as he felt that it was as good, but was a lot cheaper. No regrets from us over our choice.

We had a Viessmann 100 installed this summer. We love it. It looks good and is extremely efficient-heats house running at about 25%of its capacity and can go as low as 10%. The installer had never fitted one before but said you can tell it’s high quality because of the fittings. We bought the tiny climate sensor as well for about £100 and you just connect it to the boiler and the app. The app is extremely easy once up and running and will even tell you if there’s a fault. Obviously if you have a nest or hive etc, you can connect that. We replaced a 20 year old Vaillant boiler which was on a BG contract. In effect, the new boiler doesn’t cost us anything as it comes with a 10 year guarantee so we’re already saving £250 per year as we don’t have a maintenance contract-just need an annual service.

Just had our Worcester Bosch serviced, I asked the chap what he had at home, he has a Viessmann. They come highly rated and I think he said his came with a 12 year warranty. If you want something similar with Worcester they add on components you have to pay for such as their magna clean filter thing on top of the cost of the boiler. Viessmann have it all included in the box.

Thanks all, that is very helpful. I trust the company so I’ll make further enquiries in a month or so. Noise level is a minor issue, as the boiler is in a bedroom, but I think all new boilers will be much of a muchness where that is concerned.

We had a Viessmann boiler fitted 3 years ago and haven't had any problems.

We have a Viessmann boiler and I'm very happy with it. When it was first installed it was so quiet compared to our old boiler that I had to keep checking on it to make sure that it was actually working!
