Valspar colour match

I had decided on a farrow and ball
paint but after reading posts on here think I need a more durable/wipeable/family friendly paint so looking at valspar.

how good are their colour matches to F&B paint? Looking for a Matt finish is that achievable?

Colour wise it was OK but found it a bit thin and watery and took a lot of coats. Johnstones also have all the formulas for F & B colours and the paint is a much better quality IMO

Thanks @Pluto46 just been reading up other threads and Johnstones seem to be repeatedly recommended.

do you just ask them to match it to the F&B paint? Or do you need a swatch of colour?

do you need to be an actual decorator (rather than an actual novice 😬) to use Brewers?

No, you just ask for the F & B colour you want and they have them all programmed in and they mix it. Anyone can buy from the decorators merchants but I think Brewers just do Crown (could be wrong) so you'd need your local Johnstones who are merchants in their own right
