Renting while claiming UC - is it possible?

Good afternoon,

My partner and I have 3 kids and we live in a 2 bedroom flat which is getting too small for us. The bedrooms (especially the kids' room) are decent size but the living room and kitchen are too small and I feel like suffocating in here. Not to mention the damp issues that are never ending😕.
We would like to move to a bigger place. We currently live in London and would like to move just outside of London so partner can still travel here as he is a tradesmen and has his customers here.
Now my question is - is it even possible to find a property to rent while also claiming UC? I know it's discriminatory to turn away tenants claiming UC but what is the reality? We have been with our landlord for 12 years, always paid rent and bills on time, no debts, we will have no issues to pay deposit and rent in advance as we have little savings.
Thank you for advice x

Someone will have more recent experience, but from past wisdom on here, people seem to have more luck finding landlords on Gumtree who'll take UC tenants as opposed to via agencies, where they often say their mortgage conditions won't let them rent to people on benefits. Although sometimes a big upfront payment (several months rent in advance) things can be worked out. So it should be possible, but probably won't be easy, you may have to hunt around.

Anytime I’ve applied for private rent I don’t even get a response. I think the market is so busy at the moment that landlords can pick and chose so always go for working people :(
