Alternative to blinds

We just moved into a house which is right on the side of the road- it’s a quiet village road with no pavement, but with 4 windows on that side - living room dining room and office. The blinds that are currently up are shop standard and always seem to be at the wrong angle. I was thinking shutters, or possibly just going for opaque glass 😬….does anyone do that anymore? Or is there something else I haven’t thought of? anyone walking past can see straight in.

We’re going for shutters in living room and front bedroom- it’s quite a wait for them so can’t say whether they’re any good yet!

We had a similar dilemma and put up purlfrost as a temporary measure while we decided what to do permanently (cheap and easy to install and then remove). Went for the dotty one and it’s actually quite nice!

We’ve just ordered shutters from a small independent local business and they were much cheaper than I imagined. They do have a 12 week wait though.
We’re having two large windows, two smaller but taller windows (up the stairs) and then two roller blinds and a Venetian for the bathroom for £1,400 fully fitted in the SE.
