What kitchen worktop

I'm having a white shaker kitchen fitted and just can't decide on the worktop. I've been given a swatch of Formica Axiom worktops but they're so small that it doesn't show the whole pattern . I'd love to have silstone or quartz but don't think I can stretch my budget .
Looking for inspiration, what have you got?

I googled a local stone mason. They had a range of contract quartz which due to the high volumes is alot cheaper. Dead easy to go direct and get it fitted independently by them at the end of the fit out. Post a picture when the kitchen is finished and let us know what you go with.

Minerva in sparkling white is a good imitation of quartz…

Have a look at Dekton by cosentino. Lots of different designs. Just had it installed in our new kitchen, and it looks great. Can chop, put hot pans straight on it and no damage at all.

Thank you for the suggestions so far , there's some really lovely ones . Did you choose from online pictures or did you go to a showroom ? I'd really need to see colours etc irl .

I bought a house recently with black bling quartz I presume it’s not granite. Looks wonderful but high maintenance. Hard water area here and leaves watermarks. I must polish it at least 4 times a day. Would I have it again. Nope.

we were able to visit a Cosentino factory near us and see big massive slabs. It was extremely useful, it’s so hard to imagine it from a tiny wee piece. We in fact changed our mind after seeing our original first choice in big slab form. Didn’t like it and went for another one.

We're in a hard water area and it's bad enough keeping the shower door clean so I definitely don't want the same problem with the kitchen worktop - thank you for the tip !

This is exactly my problem.
