Mine is a small Undecorated mess with a boiler, and a washing machine and tumble drier thrown in.

We have no money so IKEA is my best bet. I need inspiration!

I've got one. Just finishing it up

We made a downstairs bathroom into a toilet / utility using 2 x kallax for storage (gifted by friend, bought the inserts), bought the rail £5 and storage baskets approx £30 all from ikea. Plenty of kallax units on fb marketplace 😊

I’ve used IKEA bathroom cabinets down the one side of my utility room as a normal wardrobe is too wide to fit in. They work really well. I’ll send a pic tomorrow if I remember.

Those baskets at the side really work! Where did you get them?

These are the cabinets I have. Because they are shallow, they are really easy to keep tidy as nothing ever gets lost in the back. I store cleaning products, kids sport kit, pet stuff and backpacks in them. I have six in a row.

Then to maximise space I have pale brown cube storage boxes that I bought on Amazon on top. Each one is labelled with a paper label on the outside so I know what’s inside.

All from ikea. I think it might be the link below:

@Roco11 that made me do a little ooh! of excitement, it looks lovely!

I'm a long term ikea kallax fan and have simultaneously been dreaming of a custom-built utility room makeover using the magic money tree that I've yet to discover at the back of the garden. Thanks OP for this thread, as I'm now questioning why I never considered ikea before!

Roco11 · 21/10/2022 23:04

@CornedBeef451 aww thank you. It had a pink corner bath, toilet & sink in before 🙈. hubby ripped it all out and did a great job!

I have one of these

It's strong enough to hang all of the damp stuff I'm trying to avoid ironing and it doubles as a shelf.
