Has anyone used Resi to design their home renovations / extension / loft? If yes what was your experience?

We did, our experience wasn't great. The design didn't adhere to building regs in a big way, and plans weren't accepted. It caused an annoying delay, and the architect ended up avoiding our calls. Eventually after escalating they refunded us. But it was stressful when we had builders engaged for a certain date etc and had to start from scratch

We used their surveyor also for the drawings and certain key things were missed - seemed a disconnect between the surveyor and the architect. For example some of the design ideas wouldn't have been possible because certain things in the building couldn't have been moved such as the boiler flu and water. The surveyor should have noted this on the plans for example and communicated to the architect - it wasn't something we realised until we had a builder around as we were novices

@SupermarketMum did you end up using Resi? I was about to look at booking them and checked Companies House and it looks like they are about to go under

@Kfjsjdbd we did!! Where did you see that?? I think I can still stop my last payment… so far we’ve only had the survey and we were booked to have the design consultation next week.

They had stopped calling me so I checked them out because they had pestered me loads and I thought it was weird that they weren’t. To be honest I’m not sure what the companies house thing means but it seems like the business will close if you google?

@Kfjsjdbd I just had a look, I'm by no means an expert but it looks like they're just winding down a dormant company? They have another company which seems to be their main trading one: find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/10471125

To be honest so far I've found them ok to deal with, their website is great and really easy to use. Their reviews on TrustPilot also seem great so that's why we've gone for them...

The other architects we spoke to would charge us almost double what Resi is costing, so we thought we'd take a chance...

Can anyone please share their experiences with Resi.co.uk?

I’ve used them recently, wouldn’t touch with a barge pole. Slow, inefficient, gave us the wrong info on planning, designed an extension that’s too short to be habitable internally, rude when chased, rude to the planning department, incorrect building regs.. the list goes on..!
