I see Homebase are now doing German manufactured kitchens, has anyone got experience of these please?

What's the quality like?

TIA

@Horsemad
We had one installed into a previous property and it was by far the best value kitchen we had…& we’ve had 6 houses.

My FIL installed it as he is carpenter by trade and used to fit kitchens for his job so that was a perk, but the units, worktop, joints, cabinets etc were really topnotch.

Previously elsewhere we had MFI, a bespoke handmade one and various highstreet manufactured ‘household name’ ones.

We would automatically without hesitation go to Homebase again for a German one with FIL installing it. I personally think the installer can make or break the quality of the situation.

Ours is classic shaker in sage, with golden oak worktop it was a cheaper option than the grey 😂 it’s a holiday home for us, so wasn’t worth paying an extra £1k! Really pleased with it. Just grouting, final electric fix and change of power points to brushed chrome, then flooring & we are done, taken an absolute age though, but as least we haven’t had to live in it through the works. The kitchen could have been delivered quickly, but I was waiting on the fitter. My advice would be to get the fitter booked in before you order, as trades are really busy atm.

A good friend of mine has renovated many properties she says Homebase kitchens are great quality and she wouldn’t hesitate to order another one from them.

I would say the Homebase one is excellent quality for the price point, the soft close doors and pan drawers are really great, I can’t stand the banging of cupboards doors.

Have fun choosing OP.

Thank you both for the info. We theoretically have a plumber lined up but he's not available for about 5 months!

I agree with you @Parishcouncil the fitter can make or break, definitely.

I am going to check out if our local Homebase. 🙂
