Hello!

Wasn't sure where to post this but with people doing renovations, I wondered if someone might have some advice.

Basically we have an elderly relative that lost their partner this year. We desperately want them to come to us for Christmas and they want that too. The distance means there would be no point bringing them down just for the day but we will collect them on Christmas Eve and have them back on boxing Day.

The problem is they can't manage stairs. We have a downstairs room we can transform into a bedroom but the issue is we don't have a downstairs toilet. While they are physically frail they are totally with it and fiercely independent. They have absolutely rejected the idea of a commode or anything similar which is fair enough. It's worrying them to the point they said they won't come.

We will be putting in a downstairs toilet but i'm sure there's no time to do it before Christmas even if we could find the money right?

Does anyone have experience of a portable or temporary loo that could come inside and look and feel like a real plumbed in one? We just want them to feel comfortable and ideally not spend huge money as it's so temporary.

Any thoughts would be amazing! Thank you!

In fact - if you look at the second review on there - someone has done just that for the same purpose
