I need to replace a gas hob in a rental property and not being a gas user am interested to know what's good/ bad/ important to look for.
Cost will be an issue - it will be mid-range, rather than high end cost.
The current hob has very chunky cast iron pan supports (as in first pic) wth extra 'arms' to support pans etc, however most of the modern ones I've been looking at seem to have much thinner pan supports without the extra arms (second pic) - is this important?
Is this about pan stability when cooking?
If you're a gas user, what's your experience and preference please?
