Kitchen help - combination of new cuboards and replacing existing

Hi

Can someone help me navigate this difficult situation

Moved into a house earlier this year which has a large kitchen diner but only limited cupboards, all about 15 years old. A whole wall which clearly should have been fitted with cupboards was just left out when it was built. We want to add some new cupboards along this wall but also replace existing cupboard doors (and more complicatedly, drawers) to match. So not a whole new kitchen.

We have a joiner in mind who did a new Howdens kitchen for us in our old house and he suggested Howdens could help again. Well they can to a point but it's extortionately expensive and they can't help with the drawers which probably makes it a non starter as we don't' want to replace drawers units with just cupboards.

Just wondering if anyone else has done this and who you used. Found some companies online selling kitchen doors only but we need entire new carcasses too for the new cupboards .

Existing cupboards not terrible but we really don't like the handles. But we can't afford to fork out for an entirely new kitchen. New handles on existing cupboard very difficult because we can't find anything else that would fit the 'holes'.

We naively thought this could all be quite straightforward but in fact is anything but. Help!

In my old house I changed the doors and drawers fronts but also added in some new base units and a wine rack and added a breakfast bar, I bought the new units and handles from b and q, the rest was from a kitchen door supplier on eBay. I painted the kitchen unit sides to match (got paint colour matched). I also changed the kitchen cornices, plinths and kickboards. Drilled all the new handles myself. Didn't take too long and was less than £1000 all in. Looked like a new kitchen when finished.

Can you mix and match? (See photo).

I really like this look anyway, and I think that it would make what you are trying to do so much simpler.
