We are in a housing association property.
Many years ago we had an old gas fire. We had it taken out and bought a 2nd hand fake coal gas fire. We had it installed professionally, all good. When it came to our annual gas check they asked for the fires booklet. We didn't get one.
They said we couldn't use the fire without the operation manual and shut the fire off.
We can't get a manual for it, searched high and low and online, we can't afford another fire new and they won't replace it.
I'm sat in the living room freezing.
I cnat put the central heating on when it's just me in the house, I can't afford it. I wish I could put the fire on :(
