Insulating a downstairs bathroom

I'm looking at moving house, my favourite is a 2 bed Victorian terrace with a downstairs bathroom off the kitchen, and it's built of single skin brick. Has anyone successfully insulated one like this to make it not freezing all winter? Is is actually possible? I don't want to regret going for it if it'll never be warm.

If you are going to redo it then you can take it back to brick and stick loads of insulatio. In the walls and ceiling and maybe even under the floor. We did this and out downstairs loo is nice and warm.
