Hello
There are 3 houses in this chain, 13 wks in we have all been ready to exvhange for about 4 weeks now but enquiries at top.of chain still remain unresolved. Keep story short, im due to have a baby next month we already have a LO and our living situation is getting tricky, plus our mortgage expires beg of jan, so we are in a hurry, already stated this to estate agent to pass up chain. Our sellers are not in as much of a hurry as we are, stated this when we went to meaure up. A week ago the estate agent said top of chain thinks another 2 weeks and queries SHOULD be finalized that would mean end of next week, anticipating which I am that they wont have positive news for us and this goes on longer, are we allowed or able to ask our sellers to find rented accommodation if we pay towards it and let them carry on in chain?! Bit cheeky and my guess is they will say no but wondered if anyone else has done this?

Thanks

If enquiries are still ongoing you are not all ready to exchange.
To be ready to exchange at 9 weeks is phenomenally fast. It is weeks until Jan.
I realise the baby arriving is not really movable, but I think you need to take a deep breath and stop forcing things. Yes, keep pushing for progress, but suggesting rental when you are actually quite early in the process is excessive.

@StillNotWarm thank you, its just what the EA said to us, everyone is legally ready but top of chain has got enqieires, this whole process is new to me, trying my best to sit tight and wait but losing sleep over it and getting quite stressed as its out of our control I guess
