Composite or ceramic sink?

Hi there,

I'm in the process of getting a new sink, it'll be a contemporary undermounted sink. I can't work out whether to get a ceramic or composite sink?

Any advice please?

Thanks 😊

I ended up with a large contemporary stainless steel sink and I love it. No regrets at all, easy to clean - I put a bit of bleach in occasionally and as good as new. Really pleased I went with this decision.

I have a composite. Tea stains seem to be the worst.

They are better at taking abuse I think. A dropped cup is unlikely to chip or crack them. Stainless steel always seems to get micro scratches.

If you are lucky though and don't have any accidents with them I think ceramics can look stunning even years after installation. I have some 20 year old toilets and when they are cleaned up they absolutely sparkle and look practically new.
