Hi all,

My partner has just got a new job in Atherstone and we're about to start house hunting nearby. We don't know the area at all so any tips would be greatly appreciated. Our criteria:

  • Budget £800-900k
  • Under 45 minute drive to Atherstone
  • Within a mile of a station that has reasonably regular train links to London in under 2 hours
  • 4 bed+ house, ideally detached
  • Near good schools
  • Near a town centre ideally, we don't want to be out in the sticks/small villages

Any ideas greatly appreciated, thanks!

Above post was in response to someone saying Sutton park is full of needles and litter.

Your DH should ask people at the new workplace too.

I live in Dorridge, Solihull and it’s fantastic here. Solihull town centre is very close by and we have an hourly service to Marylebone. £900k will definitely get you something nice! To the person who says Solihull is near rough areas… doesn’t the same apply to every nice area in the UK? 😐

Looking for advice on double glazing companies for my mum - just needs patio doors replacing ( or misted panels replacing) Anyone recommend trustworthy companies who are not too expensive? Tia
