Driveway cost

This is the house I am moving to, it needs a new driveway as the current is cracked concrete and unsightly. Can anyone tell me what kind of costs I need to be thinking about. My budget isn't fantastic, but was hoping for 3-4k? I've never had a driveway done before and am aimlessly googling costs with still no real idea. I think I'd want printed concrete as it will last? I think anyway! I'm a driveway novice so please feel free to correct me! The drive is a single driveway with a slope towards the house, plus a section towards the door.
Thank you kindly 😁.

Printed concrete fades, cracks and can be quite slippery. obviously cost depends on the total size, but our neighbour paid a couple of thousand more than your budget for a double drive and front path.

Imprinted concrete driveways, on the other hand, typically only last up to 10 years. Interestingly, the reason for their shorter lifespan is also the reason they are so popular: the process involves a single layer of concrete, poured on a sub-base. It's quick, easy, affordable.

Local area and size of the drive will determine cost. Have a look at Paving Expert who cover all sorts of surfaces www.pavingexpert.com/concrete

Some companies have online calculators which help you see a ballpark cost. I have just had my drive resurfaced and extended but it was tarmac so I have no idea of concrete costs and whether your drive could be resurfaced rather than digging out. It would need someone to come out. Local facebook is good for recommendations.

I paid around £3500 18 months ago. This was for a new driveway. I searched for local companies who came out and quoted.

Dunno about printed concrete....I had tegulas and mine cost 7k including 3 drain covers and the pathway to the back ....bigger area than yours maybe?

I've just paid £6.5k for tarmac with a block paving edge for a driveway about twice the size of that so £3-4K might be a reasonable estimate.

Depends how long you want/need it to last and the look you want.

One thing I’d certainly try to factor in is some continued green space and planting. The worst drives are an expanse of concrete or blocks that fill the whole space and look extremely ugly.

I had a drive down this year with block paving. It included having a kerb dropped so was more expensive as involved digging up the garden too. Think we paid £9k. It included a curved flower bed that makes all the difference snd some planting just under the front windows.

If you want to save money and make it greener (aesthetically and environmentally) then you could go for something with more planting and a lot less ugly concrete.
