Hello all,

I am hoping to tape into your knowledge once more, as above, I have posted previously about moving to Derby and some lovely people suggested some areas so I found a property in Langley Country Park which I am considering but I wanted to know if it's in the catchment for LCS and or Ecclesbourne Secondary school and if yes, are there buses that take the children to the school from that area?

If not, Mickleover was also suggested so I can continue searching or any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot as always.

You may wish to read the latest Ecclesbourne Ofsted..

I was going to say, you'd be hoping it's not Ecclesbourne.

Oops 😬 I just read it. What of Littleover CS, is it in the catchment for Langley Country park? Secondary school is a big thing for me but I do not know Derby at all- hence I am asking for advice. Thanks

Glad you've seen the Ecclesbourne Ofsted so you can make an informed decision.

It looks as though it’s in Ecclesbourne catchment. We aware that you will be paying a premium for that house as it is a very desirable school, despite the recent ofsted report.

it’s looks to be on the edge of several other good schools. Littleover, Murray Park and John Port are all worth a look.

I live in Mickleover and Langley Country Park is in Ecclesbourne catchment. My friend lives on that estate and a bus comes to take children to Ecclesbourne. If you want Littleover school and want to live in Mickleover then it is the area off Hedingham way/Havenbaulk Lane area that is catchment. Mine have gone to John Port which gets great results and recently had a good ofsted. Hope that helps.
